Return Policy

At ALTechnologies LTD, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This Return Policy explains your rights and responsibilities under UK consumer law when returning or cancelling products purchased from us.

1. Custom-Made / Bespoke Products

  • Many of our lithium battery packs are custom-made or manufactured to bespoke specifications.

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you do not have the right to cancel or return bespoke/custom-made items once your order has been confirmed, except where the product is:

    • Faulty,

    • Not as described, or

    • Not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • For faulty bespoke products, you are entitled to:

    • A full refund within 30 days of delivery if the product is defective.

    • A repair or replacement within the first 6 months, unless this is impossible or disproportionate.

    • After 6 months, you may still have the right to a repair, replacement, or partial refund if you can show the product was faulty at delivery.

2. Standard (Non-Custom) Products

  • For products that are not custom-made, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods (“cooling-off period”).

  • If you cancel within this time:

    • You must notify us in writing at info@altbatteries.co.uk.

    • You must return the goods in their original, unused, and unopened condition, at your own expense.

    • We will refund the purchase price (delivery costs not included) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

  • For safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of lithium battery products that have been opened, installed, connected, or used, unless they are faulty. This is due to the hazardous nature of lithium batteries, which require strict safety handling.

3. Safety and Handling of Returns

  • Because lithium batteries are classified as Dangerous Goods, all returns must be packaged and transported safely in compliance with the handling and shipping instructions provided by ALTechnologies LTD.

  • Batteries must be returned in strong packaging and disconnected from any device.

  • We reserve the right to refuse returns if goods are returned in unsafe or non-compliant packaging.

4. How to Make a Return or Claim

To request a return or make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at info@altbatteries.co.uk with your order details and reason for return.

  2. We will provide instructions for safe packaging and return shipment.

  3. Once the product is received and inspected, we will confirm your refund, repair, or replacement in line with your statutory rights and this policy.

5. Statutory Rights

This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection laws.
